These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Narrate ("Service"), operated by Narrate ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Narrate is a voice-first billing tool that transcribes spoken time entries, generates professional billing narratives using artificial intelligence, and saves them to your Clio Manage account. The Service is intended for licensed attorneys and law firm staff.
Access to Narrate requires a paid subscription at $149 per attorney per month. Subscriptions are billed monthly and begin on the date your first invoice is paid. After the first payment, your card on file will be charged automatically on the same day of each subsequent month.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at will@narratebilling.com. Upon cancellation, your access to the Service will continue through the end of the billing period already paid for. No access is provided beyond that date, and no refunds are issued for the remaining unused portion of the current billing period.
All subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused time within a billing period. If you believe an error has been made in your billing, please contact us and we will review your case in good faith.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not use the Service to process information unrelated to legitimate legal billing, attempt to reverse-engineer the Service, or share your account credentials with unauthorized users.
We strive to maintain reliable access to the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for downtime caused by maintenance, third-party services (including Clio or Microsoft Azure), or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that AI-generated billing narratives are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular matter. You are responsible for reviewing all narratives before submission to clients.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Narrate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Georgia.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
This Privacy Policy describes how Narrate collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use our Service.
We collect the following information to provide and improve the Service:
We rely on the following third-party services to operate:
You may dictate information related to client matters when using the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your use of Narrate complies with your professional obligations, including rules governing attorney-client privilege and confidentiality. Audio recordings are transmitted to Microsoft Azure solely for transcription and are not retained after processing. We recommend consulting your state bar's ethics guidance on the use of cloud-based AI tools before using the Service for sensitive matters.
Time entry data is stored in your Clio account, which is governed by Clio's own privacy policy. We retain session data for 30 days. Audio recordings are not retained after transcription is complete.
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), httpOnly session cookies, and access-controlled data storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon cancellation, your session data is deleted. Time entries saved to Clio remain in your Clio account and are subject to Clio's data policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions about these Terms or our Privacy Policy, please contact us at will@narratebilling.com.
